I applaud you. And I’m not sure if you noticed, but the hatred (and ignorance) you wrote about is even further illustrated in the comments people have made on your article.

I have seen the Trump phenomenon firsthand: people who hid their hatred or simply behaved like normal people in public have been given reason to believe their hatred was right all along. It’s all been bottled up, and Trump’s disgusting excuse for a presidential campaign has made them feel like they can let it all out for the world to see. And I couldn’t agree more with your statement, “ Whatever Donald Trump has unleashed, it’s unlikely to be caged up again by a Clinton victory in November.” You have said what I have felt since the beginning and simply couldn’t put into words.
